Do you ever feel its such a shame to put away in a drawer a nice card you've been sent or a photograph or gift tag, those things that are current in your life but that you can't find room for without over whelming an already cluttered shelf or chest of drawers? i've felt like this many a time, and so just wanted to show you a new way of displaying cards that i found. The set is by East of india, you know the range that does the sweet angels and hearts and is being stocked in quite alot of gifty shops in the UK these days.
It came with cotton tape and some pegs with little pink hearts on to hold up whatever you like really! so i chose some of the cards i've recieved and some other special bits and bobs....from the left theres a Sarah Lugg postcard,a belle and boo angel tag,a lavender heart from jasna,a teacup card,a corsage from topshop(they have some nice ones in right now i think after carrie championing them, they are 'in fashion' but i like them anyway)an angel from jasna,a heart card,a bird metal hanger,a photo of mine of a rose, a butterfly card and a sleeping bird from Hazel.
its all hanging above my bed between the light fittings and i will probably change it quite regularly ( :
The new La redoute catalog arrived a couple of weeks ago,and i've enjoyed having a browse. As much as it is nice to look in the shops,i think i still prefer to look at a decent catalogue, perhaps its a hangover from the days when i couldnt get out or perhaps its just cause its nice to look at the photos and get ideas for outfits.I prefer to see a whole outfit and suggesions on what works with it and i don't find many of the stores help with that sort of thing.Plus i like how you get the item home delivered and can try it with the other things you'll want it to go with that you already own. Its especially good with somewhere such a la redoute as the returns are free. i was getting a bit too used to shopping on Asos and had to stop as quite often the return postage costs were too much. Because to insure it had to be sent special delivery.
i will post a few more pics on flickr, but won't put too many here, as its so international i'm sure you will have seen a copy yourselves already.i'm thinking of trying the hat and i got the purple t shirt in the top right of this page,i would really like to add more colour into what i wear over the colder months. grey and black are all very well but i find i feel better if i mix them with colour. too much of the dark colours and you can feel a bit down i seem to find. yet at the same time they have advantages-they are good colours to be in amongst lots of people, because they give your aura more of a closed in,protected feel.
it was so nice to see something in there by someone i have bought from, the lovely Nicky.and a major dream of hers was realised,so i just wanted to share it incase you fancy popping over to see her lovely little handmade rabbits and teddies for yourself.
While away in the Lakes i saw alot of handmade crafts and artworks again. I would love to have a style of my own,i guess i do when it comes to my vintage cards but with painting i'm not too sure where to start,or even if i have any talent in that area. Though really i don't feel the talent side of it matters as i wouldnt be painting to sell, more for the healing and creative expression side of it.
love and smiles kat xx
