Dreamy Noa Noa

 

I read a post on the beautiful clothing company Noa Noa,that Holly did on her blog Decor8 last week and she'd made up this lovely collage of images from their range. It reminded me of how much i love their styling and the colours of their clothes are like nothing you can easily find elsewhere. The thing is when you see a clothing range that you like mentioned on a blog then try to source it from somewhere, it can prove easier said than done can't it!

 Noa Noa which is a Danish brand, is avaliable in their shops, but the majority of these in the UK are based in and around London. The nearest to me is York which is still too far away. So i had a browse online and found a blog called Noanoareigate.com which is actually it turns out, also a beautiful store in Reigate itself. here's a picture of it below.

 

The lady i have emailed and spoken to is called Minnie and she is SO lovely,and really really helpful and i am getting a dress and scarf which you can see in this shop photo. Sadly the shop is too far away to visit in person but i almost feel as if i have been ! If anyone is after any of the noa noa pieces i recommend you look at the lookbook online at noanoa.dk and at the pictures on minnies blog and you can email her through that. (i believe this goes for everyone whichever country you may be reading this from.)

 I'm really pleased to have found somewhere to get Noa Noa from and just had to share it with you all first chance i've had. By the way the prices are on a par with say French Connection and so arent way up there designer prices. But you are getting a unique look,unlike anything else around right now(probably because of the danish influenced design) i think this makes the clothes seem designer pieces,so their affordability is just an added bonus on top of the beautiful colors and designs.

Shall we sit a while?

I am a lover of all things  Belle and boo   as many of you know, and i really love this new print called Shall we sit a while...the best thing about it though,other than it features 2 sweethearts sitting together in amongst the tree's branches,(arent they adorable!)is its FREE, yes free to download and print yourself! if you'd like to find out how to get one, please read the artist, Mandy's post here.

this is to show you where i have my print in my little room.Its in the front of the house that captures all the sun,the glass crystals in the window fill it with rainbows on a sunny day. there is just enough room for me(!) the sofa and these ikea shelves,along with a small white chest in the other corner containing my fabrics,lace,paints and things. love kat x

Lighting a candle

OOH my stars were thought provoking again so i'm just posting up to share with you fellow aquarians and anyone really as they are encouraging words...

Believing is just a beginning

Easter blessings

Happy easter wishes everyone

 i just thought i would share some of the blessings,gifts and cards i recieved lately from some very dear friends. Here(middle right) is a special collection of gifts  my friend Anna in Wales sent me in the post,wasnt that so thoughtful of her,we do this every year but she never fails to suprise me with her beautiful finds! the cath kidston egg cosy is so cute in the shape of a little cottage!

The candle with the cards above, is what was wrapped in the centre photo!its from Mary, from her precious trip out to a garden nursery. I too enjoyed a trip out last week,the first for a while. We went across town to Wooly Blue and saw Julie there,she had some lovely easter eggs and cute Jellycat toys to choose from for gifts for my friends. I really LOVE her shop its so welcoming. I got a cushion for myself, which i'll show you when i share how my little craft room has been coming along-there was alot to sort out but i have made it alot tidier and am now able to sit in here and type in the sun!

 Spring is definately here and despite a few 'off' days,or lets call them healing days,when i had to rest, my health is generally picking up and i have had some precious energy to do a bit again. So i have had to spend less time in bed which is a great blessing and i feel positive about the next few months. I am not planning anything, just taking each day and doing the best i can within that moment, its the best way isnt it. Have a wonderful holiday wherever you are,and enjoy your own blessings big and small,love kat x  PS good luck to Kye and Luigi on there easter egg hunts!

We have had some beautiful sunny days here of late, i just hope its a good sign for the rest of the year. It would be so recharging to have a good summer. just wanted to do this post in my Dew stars series hope you like the collage. I returned to flickr recently after my enforced absence and it was lovely to catch up on my contacts pictures and see some of their spring time captured so beautifully. I was inspired to put these ones together and to include the piece below with them. Enjoy your spring time...love kat x

A bright shinning star

Today was the funeral of Jade Goody,age just 27, she was a reality tv personality here and had overcome alot of hardship throughout her life. She was always just herself an ordinary girl with no ego, at once both self depreciating and yet also self accepting. Somehow despite her ordinariness and perhaps quite because of it, she rose to be a celebrity, widely followed by fans around the country. All this happening after her spell on Big brother and other television shows that followed.

 Having 2 young boys,her battle with cancer in such a public way, has raised awareness,and encouraged many to go for tests who may otherwise have overlooked it. Her example has shown what it means to truly try to make the most of each precious moment of life,and give and recieve love with those that matter most to you. She married her boyfriend Jack on Feruary the 22nd, and had one of the happiest days of her life, fufilling her childhood dream of being a bride.

 I think her life towards its end was a living example of no matter what challenge you are facing,all things are possible with LOVE. It was her love for her boys,her new husband Jack and her family, as well as their love for her, which saw her through the most difficult of times anyone could face. Jade's courageous spirit while going through this tremendous physical and emotional suffering has touched the hearts of many many people,both within the UK and around the world.

Her strength in such adversity,her humor,her wisdom,her dignity, and her ever smiling face,will not be forgotten. Her life,though so tragically shortened, has made a massive long term difference.My thoughts and prayers are with those who knew her and my prayers are also made for jade to have peace. I know Freddie and Bobby will never be without a special angel,watching over them throughout their lives.I hope it helps them, when they are older to know their mum was held in such love and respect by so many people. I thought she was a wonderful person and mum to her boys.

Jade's husband Jack Tweed is just 21,here are the words he read for her today"If only I could stop the clock and turn back the hands of time, To a moment in a crowded room when your eyes looked into mine. If only I could walk once more on a sandy beach with you, Holding hands with Bob and Fred the way we used to do. If only I could lie again in the warmth of your embrace, To feel your tender kisses and breath upon my face. You were always there beside me through the laughter and the tears, You made me feel so special and soothed away my fears. I have asked God to give me strength to face the days alone, To help me heal my broken heart and mend my shattered soul. My life will never be the same without you by my side, Grief almost too much to bear, pain difficult to hide. But when we look into the sky for the brightest star above, Bobby, me and Freddie will send you all our love."XX
