We have had some grey skies of late, but sometimes grey can be good! just take these catwalk looks as inspiration. They are a few of my favourites by french designer Isabel Marant for Spring/summer 2010.

Thankyou dear friends

Hello everyone, i want to say a big thankyou for all the birthday wishes it really made my day to hear from you. And a special thankyou to Heather for this collage above,whch features so many of the things i love, cupcakes, birds, bunny, books and roses! I really appreciate you making it H as i know you have been less well of late(please give your new puppy, Holly a cuddle from me) And Georgianna who did a magical post on her blog for me which really touched my heart, and featured the handmade gifts i'd sent.(your photos are so amazing G!)

I am quite a bit more tired than normal, so though i would love to share some photos from my day with you right now, i need my energy to come back up a bit, (you know how it is for me sometimes) So till they are ready for flickr and here, i will continue to post up other things,as i have some i prepared earlier! in my little drafts folder of Secrets! Thanks again for the kindness and wishes you sent,it made all the difference to my day,i have so much to share with you i can't wait....till then, love Kat x

Cheap and chic: little kitty

Hello dear reader, Cheap and chic is a feature that the lovely Meliss does regularly over at her blog Melissa Loves here is the latest post and also the fabulous Ez does over at her blog Creature Comforts, her latest is here. They have started a group at flickr so we can join in and submit our outfits! This is my first go, though i did submit the topshop collages from my recent post too.

 Cheap and chic : i got this sweat top from Topshop i just love this colour so much a sort of peachy pink, and the white lace is such a feminine touch.
I have some grey jeans it will go with like the ones above. I got my jeans from Reiss,in there new 1971 range and have to say the fit is better than many more expensive brands i have tried on in the past. The denim is very soft too with just the right amount of stretch, they are a straight leg style and fitted without being to narrow round the knee. i may have found the holy grail of jeans, at least for me anyway. They're still in stock now, so here's a link if you fancy a glance at them.

I have these grey bailey button uggs,the tops fold down to show the lovely grey sheepskin inside.Mmm I love my Uggs in winter. oh and the little purse is over at Accessorize, kitty is optional accessory!  (it is a painting by Miss Capricho here )

Suze has compiled some great looks lately too including this one "In the garden" and submits them to the flickr group. I want to thank her very much for the recent gift she sent me in the mail, as a thankyou for how much she has enjoyed my blog. wasnt that just so sweet of her. Its a set of quotes on little cards,and theyre all to do with thanks and gratitude...this was the package and the first quote i opened below it.

Topshop special

Its a strange time of year online, when the new clothes start coming into the shops and they are all light weight pieces that ooze summer appeal, yet the snow and ice are still on the ground outside and even indoors we still need our layers to be warm. Its nice though, don't get me wrong, who doesnt like to look at the new seasons offerings, as it lifts you to think of warmer days. But as i often wonder every year, is it not too early to consider shorts and sandals in Jan/Feb!

I wanted to gather together some pieces from Topshop though, because they are the place i go to for soft feminine dressses and tops. They always seem to come up with something for everyone and at prices we can all consider. Haiti -donating by text

On Twitter there has been alot of coverage for the number to text in the US to donate $10 to the Red cross Haiti appeal by sending the word HAITI to 90999. And an alternative number texting YELE to 501501 to donate $5 to Wyclef Jean's charity for Haiti. I couldn't find an number for the UK version till today, where it's now up on the website www.dec.org.uk (disasters emergency commitee) So I'm sharing the info here, as I hope it's a help to you to know too. An easy way to give,and something you can maybe pass onto others- you simply text GIVE to 70077 to donate £5. Kat x
