Julie asked me lately how i share photos from flickr.
If i want to share individual images with text between them, i use html code by bringing up the photo on the flickr page and clicking on the share this tab above it, scrolling down to grab code and right click copying the info, then pasting it into my blog entry.
I have not used the blog this feature thats also avaliable in that section, as i think this would just blog the one picture on its own.
For crediting the image - if you click on the photo itself it would take you to its page at flickr - but I always add a credit link beneath the photo as well, so that its very easy to see who its by and how to find the original source.

Another way to share images with their credits very clear, is through a Mosaic like the two versions in this post.
You do this for free at Bighugelabs.
Go to the site and bring up the Mosaic making feature. Open in a seperate tab, the flickr photo you want to use first. Go to the top of the page and click and copy its web address, it will look something like this http://www.flickr.com/photos/secretsofabutterfly/5402419866/
Paste that into the URL box.
Continue this process with the images you want in the mosaic. Then click create... if there is a blank where one of your pictures should be, it means that person has opted out of allowing their photos to be used, so you need to click edit and it will return you to the previous page and you remove that link and add in a different one. Click create again, and hopefully it will be happily all done.
Save the mosaic to your computer, and/or choose to upload it to flickr.
Lastly right click and copy the html code under the mosaic and paste this into your blog post.
Now find the mosaic that you just saved on your computer and upload that into your post, with the credit links beneath. You are all done.
Alternatively you can place a link on your blog post to your flickr page, where the image is, and the credits are automatically beneath it.
You can use images from your flickr favourites to create a mosaic as well. just select that option on the mosaic making page.
. . . . . . . . . . . .
I believe these are the two best ways to share photographs you find inspiring that belong to others. If someone has specifically stated for their images not to be blogged then of course i never use those.
I also tend to stay away from re sharing any images from Tumblr as they are harder to find the credits for.
Pinterest is different and they have a much simpler method and the original seems easier to locate. I would like to see Pinterest develop a good way for sharing your boards on your blog. Perhaps through a html code generator. At the moment i think the only way i have seen anyone share a full board is by taking a screen shot and uploading it.
Hope this has been helpful to new bloggers wishing to share images. I have a collection of mosaics that i have created using bighugelabs here
