It can be a bit tricky to navigate at times. I am still uncertain how to upload a photo from flickr for example. I also appreciate it when i come across someone else who has the same style as me. I thought you might like to know some of my favourites on tumblr that i follow. So here they are...

Floral friday - rescued from the rain

The best thing about these flowers, is i picked them myself (smile)
I rescued them from the rain.
I placed them on our living room window sill.
I brought the garden inside again, since its too wet to be out.

I am so thankful for flowers, these, the last of the roses, had stems just long enough to reach into the vase, their petals a little bruised, but their scent remained as beautiful as always.

Beautiful Shabby Chic at House of Fraser

Rachel Ashwell's shabby chic range is now online at House of Fraser in the Uk. As Rachel's books are amongst my favourites, and i love everything about her style of decorating, i have been excitedly awaiting the launch.

This collection, the first at House of fraser (a well known department store in the Uk) includes many beautiful pieces, in both furniture and accessories, and covers every room of the home, dinning, bedroom, and living. This dressing table is my favourite from the bedroom range.

Rachel's style has always been exactly how i choose to decorate, a mix of subtle florals in pastel shades, and natural colours like stone, beige, white and greys. Incorporating french style furniture and vintage inspired fabrics and china. Giving a lived in, comfortable home, with a feminine asthetic, that does not overwhelm.

These are my favourites in the dining range, a set of cutlery and a porcelain dinner service.

As well as sofas and bedroom furniture there are cushions, scented candles and throws to come. And a beautiful Kensington tea set in floral pinks.

I am so glad this range is for sale in the Uk, as for so long the products Rachel designed such as bedding, were only avaliable in the States. Ganni for autumn/winter 2011

Ganni who i posted about here in the spring, have their new autumn winter lookbook online.
There's some lovely outfit inspiration once again, and here are some of the looks that i most liked. I like this dress, the print looks beautiful and also love this natural cardigan with its brown buttons. I am very into khaki and shades of green at the moment. I also liked this natural gilet and the textures within this dress below.

Ganni pieces will start coming onto Zalando and Asos before too long. And Plumo may have something from their range in their new catalogue,

A lovely little unicorn

A little while ago I was lucky enough to win a giveaway at Sweet days with Elle and Mia and I chose a unicorn necklace made my Space pearls a magical little Etsy shop. Here it is,all the way from Texas, and it's so beautiful.
As well as Secret Garden inspired pieces, if you like Harry Potter or have someone in the family who does, then there are some unique potion bottle necklaces, just perfect as little gifts.

Birdy Love

I am listening so often to the beautiful emotive voice of Birdy. I have Shelter and Skinny Love and i just got her version of The A team.
Do check her out if you have not discovered her, her voice will reach into your soul.

I found some threads of things i needed to make sense of, i am missing the expression of posting, so my break turned out not to be that long. Wherever possible, I need to write and to share it helps me feel, and heal. It must be how singers feel about writing and singing their songs.
we all have a heartsong to find and to sing, i may not be singing loudly, sometimes it feels like a whisper, i do not know who hears, but i sing anyway,

Crystal love - bluelace agate & angelite

Here are my pale blue crystals, the sphere is angelite, as is the piece the hydrangea petals are near, the 2 tumble pieces on the right are blue lace agate and the piece on the left is denim blue lapis, the front is a small piece of blue topaz.

I love the soft blue stones and i love to wear the Lola rose bracelet below, which i have had for a long time. The blue stones are also beautiful as necklaces as that places them at the throat chakra where its most resonant.
