Hello lovelies,
i had not intended on taking a break from posting last week, but it turned out that way as i have just been quite "out of sorts" and not feeling myself. I can't put my finger on why, but trouble sleeping is part of it. I just havent had my usual inspiration to share.
But i did want to come on and give a little update,just to let you know i was ok and everything. And also to share this lovely gift that Shanon sent me in the post last week, all the way from Minneapolis! A beautiful shawl...i love the soft cozy flannel fabric that she chose to sew it from. I have it wrapped around my shoulders a lot now, for that extra bit of warmth and comfort. I also use it as a mini blanket.(smile)
Thank you darling, its such a thoughtful gift, it shall always make me think of you and Graham and i shall treasure it,

I am just so happy that i was feeling well enough to do some crafting, and i made this collage for my brother's girlfriend. Tash is 30 today! Mam, Dad and i gave her some Lola Rose jewellery in the gemstone Blue sandstone. But its always nice to do something personal as well, if you can.
This is Tash with my brother Neill, on a trip to Scotland earlier in the year.
I have hopes to make some more of these collages for a few other occasions. But this being my first in quite a while, has made me really happy to complete.

In a roundabout sort of way i have Jeska to thank for this cardi coming my way. Since it was seeing her post that reminded me to go have a browse on the All Saints website.
That day they had quite a lot in the archive section, which i hadnt noticed before. Its where they sell off past season pieces. So this cardigan was around half the price it had been, as its from last winter's range.
I really love the different knits that make up the different sections, and the pointelle to the front. Its very cosy too, and i like that its a wintery white colour instead of grey, as i have too many grey things already.
The fatigue which is there as part of the illness, has been a little less all encompassing in the past few weeks. So I have taken more pictures, these ones, and a few more of bits n pieces around my room. I always like to have more personal content in my posts, and with a tinsy bit more energy this can be fulfilled, at least on some of the days (smiles)

Norin, her instagram photos have a touch of magicalness...i love finding photos like these because if i'm feeling overwhelmed or down they lift my spirit.
Finding people who create such uplifting images is a pleasure and privilidge. Its important i think that we take responsibility for what we put out into the world, for it has an affect on others, beyond even what we can imagine. If we send out goodness, it returns to us.

Can i ask a couple of things today that have been floating around in my mind?
..when i make collages such as these,i always feel they load up a bit small, and that the details are lost. However that's the column size i work with/
In order to have a wider layout for posts, i would need to alter my blog quite a bit, losing the two side bars and having just one.
So my question is dear readers, does the middle column on the whole, feel too narrow? would you prefer a wider photo, and if so, would it be sad to lose at least one of the columns down one side, with all the box links - which are afterall, kind of my signature style at Secrets?
Secondly,I need to ask your feedback on replies to comments..
I havent always been replying to your lovely messages in the comments section. Though on the recent more personal post i did so. I wonder sometimes if anyone goes back to see if a reply is there? I tend not to expect a reply in comments when i leave a message at other blogs, but its a bonus if i recieve one. I rarely return to look though,and just wanted to know what you thought?
I've had some better days of late, and also some less so, it seems to be quite up and down. My head sometimes has been buzzing with ideas and hopes and that's made it difficult to wind down at times. I think 11/11/11 coming up has a lot to do with the way my energy has been, dates such as this carry a special significance and are considered sacred in many spiritual ways.
The energies around the world at this time are very intense for change and revolution, - you only have to see whats going on with the banks and demos, and government shake ups, to recognise that things are in a state of change outwardly too - and people are having a voice that for so long would have been unheard. (thankyou twitter, avaaz, fb and all, for the platform that allows connections and positive changes to take hold)
