Thank you so much for this post, it's something I have been thinking a lot about lately. I need something to destress and recharge and bring a calmness to my days and a connection to my spirit. I really loved reading your thoughts about it and look forward to checking out the different links you mentioned.
Thank you :)
Jenni

Thank you for taking the time to let me know that Jenni, I'm glad :)

I am going to give this a try....Thank you xx

Wow Kat, this is so beautifully written and with so much to share.

I have been meditating off and on for a couple of years now, but only recently every day. I find that as simple as it is to sit quietly and focus on the breath, my busy mind hops around so much. I am getting better at the stillness.

I want so much to develop meditation as a life long practice as the benefits are huge.

I feel that there is much to learn and I am looking forward to reading the links you included.

I so appreciate that you share all of your wisdom with us!

I especially like your comment. "I am just me."

xx Kerri

Thank you Kerri, I really value your feedback on it.
I wanted to get everything out in one comprehensive post, so it did get long (smile)
i wondered if maybe it was too long but at same time it didn't feel right to keep it short, as meditation is such an in depth topic - a whole manner of things come under the term - and it affects so many levels of us as beings that it was only fair to reflect that.
I hope it's a case of different parts resonating with different people. When I want to simplify and be quick I use the app guided meditations alot.
Love to you sweets, k xx

I learnt how to meditate,a few years ago at the Buddhist centre in Newcastle but sadly didn't keep it up. I think I was doing a lot of soul searching at the time and it really helped to find such peace. So beautifully written. x
