A little picture of the bunnies the other evening, recieving their tea of carrots, apple and pellets.They are keeping warm and are saying hello and that they are looking forward to some warmer spring days so they can be outside on the grass more often.they also miss the mint and dandelion leaves so want the warmth to make them grow back soon!

I made a mini scrapbook for my Granda's birthday on the 13th. He will be 86. He is often asking for photos of the grandchildren, of which i am the eldest of 5 and i thought this would be a way of keeping them all in one place for him. I never quite know what to buy him so it was great to think of something i could make that he would also appreciate. Sometimes its easy to think of girly things and less easy to come up with things for men!  here is a picture of the inside cover and first page which shows my grandparents with me and then on their 60th wedding anniversary in 2006. And one of the other pages showing a photo taken when my cousin visited us with her son Kian, they live on the south coast so we can't see them often,but Granda really enjoyed seeing his first great grandchild at the end of last year as he'd been in hospital the first time that they visited shortly after he was born and so he missed him.

This was a mini canvas i made Grandma for christmas,she likes vintage brooches so there is a picture of a purple one on it along with the lace i like to use and mother of pearl buttons. I am gradually working my way through making these for people that i'm close to for various presents,be it christmas or birthday's.its fun.and its something i can make with my favourite theme other than butterflies which is angels.You've probably guessed that by now if you've seen my other bits and pieces.with warm wishes kat

Willow & my other bunnies

Willow is here and isnt she gorgeous,my first little cotton rabbits with a dress and shoes,and in such beautiful wool too. I really feel very lucky and i think she feels lucky too now that she's realised she has some friends eager to meet her... Rosemary,willow and tessie together. Ahh.

That day i also got some vintage wallpaper packs too look how pretty the colours are! Kate commisioned me to make her two canvases so i've begun them and will post the finished ones soon, i love getting the supplies almost as much as doing the finished pieces! I was disappointed though as Red lead Paperworks has stopped posting internationally,so no more pretty stamps and papers from them.

Just been out to the (real) bunnies, they are warmer in their hutch now due to their hutch hugger from Scratch and newton its got a silver fabric inner which is made from special insulated fabric and a green waterproof cover over that which has a see through plastic front. its avaliable online and at Pets at home stores. Here's a couple of shots of them... whisper eating new fresh hay and some toasted bread for breakfast/lunch or brunch as it could be called! and here's jasper and me in the sunshine at the top of the garden thats all for now take care and thanks so much to everyone for their good wishes with my etsy. love Kx

The bunnies go on an adventure

Well, the day before yesterday was an eventful morning. I had just woken up when mam came hurriedly in to say that she'd found one of the doors of the rabbit's hutch wide open,and no rabbits in sight. A sheet of hard plastic we had on the upstairs to shield them from rain, had fallen off hitting the lower door's catch directly beneath it and causing that door to come open,hence the rabbits decided to venture outside! It was a worry since there are a few cats about and also we just had no idea of quite how far they would get. streets away went through our mind at one point! oh no, anyway i glanced down from my bedroom window only to spot whisper in next doors garden! by the time i was down into ours she'd come through the hole under the fence and i somehow grabbed her from behind one of the flower tubs and dropped her into the run on the lawn. So that just left Jasper and low and behold he was running about in nhext door's garden too. Mam went round and i stayed by the hole as we have a key for next door but once there she couldnt find their back door key. I watched over the tall fence as jasper quite cheekily was right outside their back door while mam was on the other side and then had a good look around going behind the hut at the top of their garden and i was worrying he'd go from there into the gardens across the back. But no, out he popped again, looking up at me watching him and preceeded back down the lawn again. I must admit i felt partly happy they'd had such a good explore. We do hope to get our garden a bit safer and sealed off at some point and once they are older they can be out more around it ,as long as someone is in the vacinity. But in the meantime the run is huge and gives them plenty space.

So to finish the tale, dad was out on a job from work and was able to call past and get over the fence. Jasper didnt go in the carrier but came back through and i was able to pick him up from the same spot as Whisper. Much relieved we then returned to the sofa to fully wake up and have a cuppa! what a morning it was.No photos of the great adventure on next doors lawn my head wasnt really thinking of taking photos at the time,but I took one over the weekend of the two of them dozing together so here it is...Jasper is saying what a handy pillow whisper makes

Bailey,Belle & Boo

This morning my bag arrived from Mandy at Belle and Boo and its so lovely, i had to pin on her badges too, as like she suggested they go on it so well. Here's a snap of me with it over my shoulder just so you can get an idea of it. and a close up of the badges too.

The bunny is called Boo and as some of you reading this will have guessed he reminds me very much of Bailey my previous house rabbit. so i couldnt resist posting up a photo of him.  And a thats followed by a recent one of the two new buns Whisp and Jasp outside having dandelions... They had to be under a parasol that day as it was so hot. I also recieved the stamps from Red Lead Paperworks today and they are as beautiful as ever,  can't wait to get into stamping more again. their designs really inspire me and their website is great,even international shipping is only £5, some english companies charge that.They also sell some handmade items on etsy at Sharonwisely which give ideas too of how to use their stamps. I've really been browsing round esty alot and finding new sellers to add to my favourites.its fun to look at one of the sellers you like and then see what their favourites are. I find it easier to find things i like that way than through the searches they offer on the home page.Everything is so reasonably priced sometimes i dont know how they knit it paint it or stitch it for the price. At least that means their is a community of fairness and that people in general are driven by being creative and sharing that rather than soley for profit. I think this gives the whole thing a great vibe, and so different to a large store who if they carry handcrafted things may've put a large mark up on them because of their exclusivity/limited runs.Esty has far more information on the artists too.Then theres the fact its easier to buy from various sellers because you can try something and if it doesnt work out as you expect then you havent lost a great deal of money. Adorable

I have two new additions to blog about. I got my mini lops this week. Here's Whisper,named because he is the quieter of the two,quite chilled and none phased and Jasper is the grey and white one who likes to jump about more and is inquisitive. They're are cousins and are both the same size and are about 9 weeks old. They have a large hutch for a home,as i'm keeping them outside this time unlike my previous 2 which were house rabbits. They also have this large run 2 metres by 1.5metres. Ample space to scamper about. I nearly called jasp scamper. They are growing so quick they change daily and enjoy nibbling away at the grass eating pellets or hay.

I've waited quite sometime to do this and i I love them!
