hi friends just a short message today to share this angelic quote with you and a little warmth by the fire courtesy of Toast as its very cold just now, ...and a couple of other blue things that have come my way lately. Bit of a grey day in Hexham yesterday but still nice to be out and i took my umberella, which was needed!

Hush,little rabbits and malted milks!

    These cute little rabbits fromBlossomhill cottons remind you of anyone? Yep Whisp and Jasp,my grey bunny and my white bunny. Hazel is a lovely lady in Canada who makes tiny felt animals such as these 2,and each one is done with such care and such very small stitches! They're only a couple of inches long,so i marvel at how she does them. She also has a beautiful Blog to visit.

Things on my mind at the moment are..staying warm as toast at night in these pj's from Hush and enjoying one of my favourite biscuits Malted Milk, with the cow print on them, they remind me of growing up as they've been around for years. Have wrapping paper on my mind too thinking of what to use for who,will need to start wrapping soon as i like to have plenty time and do it myself now that i'm able to. I'm looking forward to Strictly come dancing tonight, i think at the mo my fav's are Gethin and Camilla,mainly because i thought their chenistry last week was amazing, i've heard they're an item in real life now, which would be So romantic, does anyone know if thats true? I also like Matt and Flavia and Kelly and Brendan and Alesha and Matt so i'm not voting since i like them all and never want any of those pairs to be knocked out! its been too good this year to choose between them all. All the pics for this post went a bit higgldy piggldy for some reason and i can't seem to fix it, so here they all are the things i've mentioned this post at the bottom : )

Share a cuppa tea with me

hello my friends and fellow bloggers. sit down and share a cup of tea with me, i have this new huge mug (from M&S) a bit like those they use in Central Perk on Friends, isnt it cute! gives you extra tea too. I've come in from the garden its a blustery out there today and though the sun is out the wind can be a bit too much when youre just sitting quietly. Ive been resting a bit more for a week or so, as my recovery needs that. The illness i had and am now in recovery from was ME also known as chronic fatigue syndrome, and lasted over 15 years,much of which i spent in our home largely in bed. So it with with great gratitude that i am now enjoying the wonderful countryside,seeing freinds and family, taking part in normal things like eating a meal, and generally slowly but surely getting back into life. So if at times i blog in spurts and am then absent for a while you will know i am taking a rest or indeed i could be branching out into doing something new that i havent in many many years,like walking in our front street.

Infact that leads me onto the other thing i wanted to talk about today and that is my street and my house which ive got some pics to share. Its not so iydillic a setting as some people's homes ive visitted on my blog travels but its ours and ive been here all my life, well since age 2, which is almost 30 yrs, gosh i hadnt thought of it as that long, but it is! Our street is very quiet really despite all the cars, everyone gets along and though we dont have the street parties we had when we were little(for the royal weddings and things like that) which led onto trips out at christmas to pantomimes and such. We are still a friendly place to be and everyone is nice around about us. Good neighbours are the sort of thing you take for granted when theyre there but which if things were different you would really wish for.So here is our house i was sitting in the car out in the street taking this which is how its a bit of a funny angle but it gives you a picture at least! and here's some of the view from my parents bedroom looking down and then up the street.. we have had some lovely colours on the hydrangea bush this year a mixture some blue some pink and some lilac i never got round to taking any photos but you can see the last of the pink ones on the photo of our house. i spotted this photo in country living magazine and thought it beautiful.. i love how the petals are in the shape of four leaf clovers!So with their good luck wishes i'll say goodbye for today Kat xx

Sisters

This week saw a new addition,Rosemary fromLittle Cotton Rabbits,a big sister to Tessie,here they are catching up! I enjoyed some time with my friend Caroline (in the red top below)showing her my Lakes photos and catching up on her news too. we've known each other since we were 3! To have that shared history with someone really makes all the difference because they really can appreciate what moving into better times really means to you. And alot of it can go unspoken. In a way being in each others lives that length of time makes you sisters.

I recieved a collage in the post this week that i got from Cindy in vancouver Canada,through her shop on etsy Cindy's Quirks of Art.  She's such a lovely person and even added in an extra of the mini collages that i also got at the same time from her. Its nice having contact with people in such far away places, the world seems alot smaller these days with all the blogs and ways of being in touch through email and mobiles ( or cell phones as american's say)I thought it'd be quite nice to post a photo with Princess Diana in,as its hard to believe,but its 10 years since her passing at the end of August. The mini collages of Cindy's are the peach ones with angels on. The centre boxed collage "Joy",is one i did, a little while ago. This shelf is in my craft room, and is at present about the tidy-est thing in there. It seems to fill up with stuff (and not always of craft nature)and theres very little room for me. But i am doing some mini albums of my Lakes trip, sitting in there of an evening, so somehow miraculously i've found room!

Butterfly fairies

I've got a few Butterfly fairies and they are so sweet. This one is called a stitch in time. Milly Molly Mandy

Today i'm delighted to say i got my pictures from milly molly mandy put up on the wall in the little pink room. I found some frames to fit and am really pleased with them. mandy is such a talent and i was so lucky to come across her art work on Etsy.com ( a huge craft web shop, for artists and crafts people from all over the world to sell their work) She is such a friendly person too which made my 1st etsy purchase a joy from start to finish. I chose two large prints from her too and this one below has white rabbits on. You know how much i love bunnies! Click on her link in this text or on the list to the left for more of her work...

I want to thank Posy so much for the package she sent me it was such a lovely thought. I was amazed to see she'd blogged about the cards i'd sent her on her own Blog. I had so much pleasure from it over the past 2 yrs or so i just sent her something by way of a thankyou. Now that i have spare energy to do extras like this its pretty special. especially when people respond warmly back. The blogging community of crafters is such a lovely one,and ive found everyone very welcoming as well as encouraging.
