That really is sweet Kat. I often get all nostalgic when i see something I had in my childhood. I only have two thing from my childhood-a teddy and a tiny cabbage patch doll the size of an apple. She is in my printers tray in Emma's room. Hope you are well. Bonnie

The story from the book sounds absolutely enchanting. I have held on to most of my daughter's childhood books, they all bring back so many wonderful memories.
Cute picture of the dolly in her bed too :)

Yes I remember the story so well,in fact I found the most perfect little doll in a charity shop and thought instantly of the doll in the freezer. And coincedence or what but I have a little metal dolls house bed for her!

Oh wow! I had that book too, and I loved it so much. I remember the story about the little doll in the freezer. Didn't she use a frozen pea as a ball, and something else as a tennis racquet? I'll have to see if I can find the book for my own five year old. Thankyou for reminding me of it. :-)

I absolutely loved that story! How wonderful to find someone mentioning it while perusing blogs.

thank you for putting this on the net i was just telling my daughter aout the story of the little doll in the freezer and wishing i could remember the name of the book. now i just have to find a copy!!

Beth, it seems so many of us remember this book fondly

Thank you so much for this post - I have been trying to find this book for years. I remember checking it out of the library time after time when I was young. I also adored Tottie when it was on Jackanory (loved little Apple). I'm off to get my hands on both books - wonderful

Happy Christmas to you all xxx
