Real life flower fairies, is how I think of Kirsten and her girls Maya and Elle.
Their adventures, crafts & creative play, really bring such delight to me to see. They are just how I would love to be with fairies of my own. Maybe. One day I will be.
Their love of petals and flowers and nature in general is reflected through the photos shared at Kirsten's Instagram and blog. And of course those 3 things are very high on my list of passions also.
It was through Kirsten that I discovered the Instagram tag #mondaymandala and have created some petal and flower mandala to take part in that. It's been such a lovely thing to do, something I could join in with. (I will share more on the mandalas in another post)
I was taken with the pastel chalk designs on the pavements, and the ribbons and tea lights here. I would love to have a go at decorating the garden here in the future.
The other thing Kirsten loves is adding flowers to her hair and the girls hair too. She comes up with some unique and stylish ways of achieving this. I am in awe of the amount of flowers they seem to have around to play with at times (smiles)
I also love their appreciation of nature, and collecting, building and generally inspiring their imagination in the woodland, seashore, or garden/yard :)
Kirsten, thank you for all you share with us at Instagram. Again just like Faith, seeing you living in such a heart centred way bringing up your girls, is inspiring. I love your passion for the environment, for organic living, and your conscious use of materials that are safe and do not impact on the Earth.
I am not surprised that you lately started working for one of my favourite magazines Papier Mâché. I can see just how your styles are a perfect fit for one another.
Here's to the fairy at heart, and to always playing with petals.
Love n kindness kat x
Thank you for another beautiful post. Isn't it so, so true what Claude Monet said: "I must have flowers, always and always."
Good night, sleep tight. :)
