There's choppy water, but I must soon set sail.
I need to make a journey, to what is for me, a distant land .
A place I remember from story books, but one I have not been to in what feels like many lifetimes.
It is said to be a place of delight, fun, laughter, and candle light.
It's for a dream that someone has had come true.
They want very much to share.
I have sails, I have fashioned from lace.
These sails are delicate at first glance, and intricately made.
The stitches though are strong.
The boat beneath strengthened by precious threads of gold and silver.
and from wishes gifted from the kindest of hands,
including my own towards myself.
Yes indeed, i am blessed,
These wishes
They are like gentle breeze to my sails
My heart a compass, set to guide.
So many journeys begin with a single step.
With courage as my sword, clarity of thought my armour to any fears
A single attempt to set sail has made, but then
Too often the journey not taken me out of port.
I am distressed I am low in spirit.
What more can I do.
How will I ever manage to.
There is so many factors involved, not least the waters.
The boat itself, and the wind. How much feels out of ones hands
How much we have to trust in something greater than just ourselves.
Yet how much too I yearn for an empowerment,
Not through will, or determined strides
But through assured-ness, calm awareness, and an upliftment from within
I pray for a pleasant journey, and for a pleasure able time
I do forget sometimes what that feels like
I hope I get to remember it then
