Serendipity crystals Serendipity crystals is a beautiful place to find gemstones and crystals. It's really a pleasure to browse, learn, and shop there. 

The website is so informative. Krissy's descriptions are from her own experience and that of people she treats. So you get a different take on the gems qualities and the healing it can provide.

There's a lot of care and guidance poured into the website which I really appreciate.

And the crystals Krissy sources have a fresh, vibrancy to them. When they arrive they match the way they looked online too.

And they are presented in lilac bags with angel blessings. A lovely touch which means a lot, & not something that's done by alot of sellers. 

What I chose - mangano calcite heart and piece, morganite, Rose aura Quartz, and pink Himalayan Quartz (new to me and was the main reason I placed the order )

Hugs from a swan - a little parcel of goodness

 

Jen (mayfith) likes to make things from vintage ephemera, as do i. she sweetly asked to send me some of her crafts, and these little goodies arrived in the post for me.

they are full of charm and whimsy arent they lovely, i am going to gift the alice brooch to someone who mentioned the book to me just lately (smile)
i will also share what i send jen in return when i have been able to put that together for her in a bit of time.

and these special, special pressed flowers from her californian garden

 

Tiny forget me knots (love) and a postcard of violets (love too!) which is now in this frame.

Maddy thank you for being you and for all your kindness to me, you know i treasure you and our friendship, you make my life more beautiful by being in it - just like flowers do in a garden (smile)

A fairytale friendship

Every now and then life gives us a fairytale

and every now and then people come into our lives and change it in a fairytale sort of way, by that i mean it has a magical feel, and gifts you with the opportunity to  be accepted as you are, and yet at the same time expand your understanding of yourself through what you share with each other.

that is certainly most true of my dear friends in California, maddy and cheryl.

i am amazed at how, though we live so far apart, we still found each other, through my coming across Cheryl's blog and admiring her handmade fairy crowns. Cheryl and her daughter Maddy have since filled my life with such thoughtfulness,care,love and touches of nature from their home, and i have purchased and been gifted some of their enchanting handmade creations. (and sent them some of mine also)

inside one of the packages from them in america...these little treasures were from Yosemite national park!



and Cheryl's letter is written upon a vintage book, that's been cut down, it even has my name on (smiles)

and some trinket dishes, that are so pretty, scraps of fabric from which they make the skirts for the etsy shop MissTeapot dressup and a butterfly bracelet.

it is just as nice to send packages in return, and share my own little world with them, i am inspired to find things to send that are fairy-like. they don't necessarily have to cost a lot, but mean so very much to the reciever, making them smile with that special kind of feeling you get at the end of a fairytale, a happiness from the simple things in life, like a handwritten letter from a friend.

 

this is one of the first parcels i sent cheryl last November, with a vintage copy of Enid Blyton's The Enchanted wood, and Liberty fabric, and vintage lace.

there is definately magicalness at play when you connect with others who are kindred spirits. that is the great beauty of blogs, we can share our worlds and touch people who really resonate with us and our story,

I love the way the name sounds and rhymes!
I found out about this candy coloured Etsy store, from Jeska.
I have been most impressed with the service.
My order was delayed in posting, so i was refunded shipping
When my items arrived, they were beautifully packaged
The ribbons are stunning colours and textures and SO inspiring to me
I have been looking for some of those soft floaty type ribbons for a while
and this store has them in abundance!
Also every colour of baker's twine, and the prettiest paper flowers.

Scout and Catalogue - floral clutch

I have loved Bree's creations for some time, and was just waiting for the right piece to come along before making my purchase.
It did last month in the VIAJE floral clutch bag!
part of her summer collection in her shop Scout and Catalogue.

Bree has done such an excellent job with the making of this bag, it blends all the benefits of handmade, (the energy, the attention to detail, the unique design, the love of the maker) with all the best of a designer made piece (the quality of material, superior workmanship, and finish, and style)

It is made of leather and a floral fabric that she sourced on a trip to Mexico.

I think it is the most professional piece i have purchased from Etsy and as Bree is always creating collections season to season, i am sure it won't be my last from her Scout and catalogue shop.

Hello again

Hello sweeties,

well, the flu has finally passed, and after 3 weeks in bed, i had my first afternoon up yesterday. Going to take some time to get back to where i was, but it felt good to feel more me again. And i am full of ideas and things to share with you all.

After the spring clean my blog had a few weeks ago, i want to aim for a more cohesive feel once more to my posting, and get one or two fresh regular posts going. I have some in mind, but am always open to hearing your ideas if you have anything you would like to hear, see or read from me, drop me a line or two, or comment here.

I want to say a special thank you to Jules for the postcard in the top pic, and Claire who sent me these beautiful goodies, including some ever so pretty bags to use in my giftwrapping.

Thanks sweetheart they arrived on a day i was so very in need of a boost to my spirits and opening this was just the tonic i needed, it meant so much to me, along with having your friendship in my life. Who would have thought little square world within instagram, could spill out into such rich and heartfelt connections, with you Helen and Jules!

If youre reading this and havent joined iNstagram i really recommend it, and now anyone on android phones (that means you Shanon!) can join in too.

Ipad prettiness

My new ipad cover arrived from the lovely etsy seller Simbiosis. (butterfly not included ;) that is on the cushion behind)

I have been looking for the right one since i got it last year and somehow nothing was quite right till now.
I like Julia's zipped pouches and have given them as gifts quite often. So i was pleased to spot this ipad cover in her shop last month.
Its so well made, and padded, that it gives the right protection to my treasured ipad-ey.
And it also looks mightly pretty too, always a bonus, especially as what i was using before was just black.
It has a velcro fastening, and is super easy to take in and out, something which happens oooh a hundred times or more a day! kidding ;)

I recommend Julia's shop Simbiosis, she has a regularly changing array of stock, kindle covers, zipped pouches and various designs for the ipad
